Concrete driveways in Duluth, MN.

A concrete driveway is the single most visible piece of hardscape on your property — and in a Duluth winter, it has to fight freeze/thaw cycles, road salt, and plow trucks. We pour driveways that last. Proper sub-base preparation, reinforcement, a true 4,000 PSI mix, and control joints cut where they belong. That's the difference between a driveway that looks good for twenty years and one that cracks in three.

What you get

Built right. Priced honestly.

4-inch minimum slab, 5-inch for heavier loads

We pour to spec. Standard residential driveways get 4 inches of 4,000 PSI concrete over 6 inches of compacted Class-5 base. RV pads, commercial approaches, and driveways that see dually trucks get 5–6 inches reinforced with #4 rebar on 18-inch centers.

Rebar or fiber reinforcement — your call

We walk you through the trade-off. Rebar adds tensile strength for heavy loads. Fiber mesh controls micro-cracking and is enough for most residential driveways. No upsell, just what your driveway actually needs.

Proper control joints and expansion joints

Concrete will crack. The question is where. We saw-cut control joints at the right depth and spacing (typically 10 feet for a 4-inch slab) so the slab cracks at the joint, not across the field. Isolation joints go against the garage apron and any fixed structure.

Drainage designed into the pour

A flat driveway is a failed driveway. We set forms with a minimum 1/4-inch per foot slope away from the house and any structures, and work with you on pitch points if your lot drains oddly.

Our process

From call to finished concrete.

  1. 01

    Free on-site estimate

We walk the site, check existing grade, ask about your use case (everyday car, RV, plow turnaround), and give you a written quote.

  2. 02

    Demo and excavation

If we're replacing an old driveway, we break it out, haul it off, and excavate to subgrade. Any soft spots get dug out and replaced with compacted fill.

  3. 03

    Base, forms, and reinforcement

6 inches of Class-5 compacted in lifts, forms set to grade, rebar or fiber per the spec we agreed on.

  4. 04

    Pour, finish, cure

4,000 PSI mix, broomed finish for traction, control joints cut the day of the pour. Cured with a sealer or wet cure depending on weather.
