Why we started this company.

Tim Lindquist started Hercules Jr. because he got tired of watching excavation and concrete jobs get passed through three layers of contractors before the actual dirt got moved. By the time the work reached the crew on the ground, the price was marked up, the scope was unclear, and nobody wanted to own the outcome.

That's not how Hercules Jr. runs. When you call, you get Tim. When you get a quote, it's Tim's quote. When the crew shows up, Tim is on the site. And when there's a question in the middle of the job — a soft spot in the subgrade, a utility we didn't expect, a weather day — Tim makes the call, not a project manager three cities away.

What “Hercules Jr.” means.

The name is a family name, not a brand exercise. It sets a standard: work that's strong, work that lasts, work that still holds up when the next generation is looking at it. That's the bar we pour to.

Full-service excavation and concrete. Concrete driveways, slabs, patios, sidewalks, foundations, garage floors, and repair. Excavation for site prep, land clearing, trenching, retaining walls, and drainage. Residential and small commercial across Duluth, Superior, and the Twin Ports region.

Every job starts with a free, in-person site visit. We don’t give ballpark numbers over the phone for anything involving excavation, demolition, or unknown ground — every site is different and we don’t want to quote a number we can’t honor. After the walk-through, you get a written, itemized estimate. Clear scope, clear materials, clear price.
